About the event

The 72nd World Health Assembly kicked off against the backdrop of rising global health challenges and a vital year for funding replenishment. As the agency's director general works to push forward an ambitious reform agenda and tackle an increasingly complex global response to Ebola, leaders across government, civil society and the private sector are gathering in Geneva to take on an array of global health issues — and prepare for this September's high-level meeting on Universal Health Coverage.

Devex is hosting a conference call with our team of journalists live from Geneva for an in-depth look at this year's gathering — offering exclusive insights into the biggest stories unfolding throughout the week, the WHO's priorities in the aftermath of a major leadership shakeup, and what their implementation means for the development sector.
