Consulting can be a great way to get your foot in the door, especially if you are transitioning from another sector. As opportunities to learn the ins and outs of an organization and highlight the expertise that you can offer, these shorter term gigs can eventually lead to a more permanent position.

But how do you find those first consulting opportunities and then leverage them into a full-time job?

Roberto Amorosino, a career coach and former senior human resources specialist at the World Bank Group, joins Devex for a three-part series to answer questions like this and share insights from his extensive career in development recruitment.
