Jessica Abrahams

Jessica is a journalist and Associate Editor of Devex covering news and analysis from Europe and the US. She was previously an editor with Prospect, the UK's leading current affairs monthly magazine, and has written extensively for publications including The Guardian, The Telegraph, Bloomberg News and Germany's taz.die tageszeitung with a focus on global women's rights and social affairs. She holds graduate degrees in journalism and international relations and has lived and work in London, Edinburgh, Barcelona and Berlin.

Paul Adepoju is a Nigeria-based freelance journalist, academic, and author. He covers health and tech in Africa for leading local and international media outlets including CNN, Quartz, and The Guardian. He's also the founder of healthnews.africa. He is completing a doctorate in cell biology and genetics and holds several reporting awards in health and tech.

Raquel Alcega

Raquel leads Devex's Development Data team — the all-star team that tracks and analyzes the funding, programs and activities of financial institutions, philanthropic organizations and corporations at the intersection of business and global development. Her team provides a tactical and holistic understanding of development funding flows to our community. Prior to joinfing Devex's Barcelona office, she worked in business development in Washington, D.C., and as a researcher in Russia and Mexico.

Alli Blount

A creative problem solver, Alli is thrilled to identify and work with potential new Devex members. She has a unique background in both nonprofit work, with a focus on global development, and consultative software sales. Most recently she worked with small nonprofits to identify software solutions that would help to increase and diversify fundraising. Having just relocated from Washington, DC to West Africa, she looks forward to weekends at the beach and traveling throughout the region.

Alexandre Cabaret

Alex joined Devex in 2011 following business development and project management experiences focusing on institutional development initiatives in the Western Balkans and education programs in North and West Africa. Based in Barcelona, Alex manages our relationships with organisations based in Europe and MENA as well as with U.N. agencies worldwide. His work encompases all activities performed by Devex, from media partnerships at global conferences to developing digital content communication initiatives.

After spending her first three years at Devex implementing communications campaigns with donor agencies, corporations and NGOs, Jenni has taken on the challenge of launching Devex’s newest business line, advertising strategies. After nearly a decade in Washington, D.C., she is fulfilling a lifelong dream of living abroad by working in Devex’s Barcelona office helping people do good around the world.

Vince Chadwick is Devex’s Brussels correspondent, tracking EU institutions, member states, and European civil society. A law graduate from Melbourne, Australia, he was social affairs reporter for The Age newspaper, before moving to Europe in 2013. He covered breaking news, the arts and public policy across the continent, including as a reporter and editor at POLITICO Europe.

Maria G Doretto

Originally from Venice, I joined the Devex Product team in 2022 as a UX/UI Product Designer. I focus on improving the user experience and the visual interface of Devex, together with the rest of the development team. Previously I worked in digital transformation agencies where I learnt to put the user at the center of everything I do. When not working, I like to be in nature, hang out with friends and discover new places all around the world. I feel very proud of being a Devexer, supporting global development communities to make the world a better place.

Catherine Cheney

Need to know what’s happening in global development on the West Coast? Call Catherine. As our West Coast correspondent, Catherine focuses on ideas and investments making an impact on global poverty and offering lessons for the Devex audience from Silicon Valley and beyond. Catherine has worked to make her mark on the media by launching a startup focused on what's working in America, consulting for organizations including the Newseum, and building the Bay Area chapter of the Solutions Journalism Network.

Diana Palomares is the go-to person if you want to join our Devex team. She currently leads our People Operations team, where she plans and executes global initiatives around automation, talent retention, D&I, and learning and development. She was formerly part of the Finance & Operations team before our latest reorganization. Now, she is fully dedicated to our most valuable asset, our devexers.

Anna Gawel

Anna Gawel is the managing editor of Devex. She previously worked as the managing editor of The Washington Diplomat, the flagship publication of D.C.’s diplomatic community. She has had hundreds of articles published on world affairs, U.S. foreign policy, politics, security, trade, travel and the arts on topics ranging from the impact of State Department budget cuts to Caribbean efforts to fight climate change. She was also a broadcast producer and digital editor at WTOP News and host of the Global 360 podcast. She holds a journalism degree from the University of Maryland in College Park.

Olivia Govik

Hailing from Sweden, Olivia is now based in our Barcelona office, where she focuses on bringing partnerships content to life in different formats. She holds degrees in communications, political sciences, and international relations, and developed a passion for global development while studying and working in different parts of the world. Prior to joining Devex, she worked in Brussels on communications related to European Union funded global development projects. When not at work, she takes any chance to watch live music, sing, or enjoy the nature and beaches around Barcelona.

Andrew Green is a Devex Correspondent based in Berlin. His coverage focuses primarily on health and human rights and he has previously worked as Voice of America's South Sudan bureau chief and the Center for Public Integrity's web editor.

Michael is a journalist who travels the world asking what comes next in the global effort to end poverty, improve health, and create opportunity. He has profiled some of development's most influential leaders, interviewed heads of state, and frequently speaks about development policy and implementation. Michael studied international conservation and development at the University of Montana and Russian at Bowdoin College.

In her role, Jessica is responsible for building deep and meaningful relationships with partners, and has a proven track record of designing and shaping strategic initiatives that increase brand visibility, thought leadership, and engagement. She is an experienced event moderator and most recently hosted a live interview with the Secretary-General of the UN 2023 Water Conference, Junhua Li. Prior to her time at Devex, Jessica worked at global advertising agencies including Ogilvy & Mather, nurturing and securing contracts with global brands.

Sara Jerving is a Senior Reporter at Devex, where she covers global health. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, The Wall Street Journal, VICE News, and Bloomberg News among others. Sara holds a master's degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism where she was a Lorana Sullivan fellow. She was a finalist for One World Media's Digital Media Award in 2021; a finalist for the Livingston Award for Young Journalists in 2018; and she was part of a VICE News Tonight on HBO team that received an Emmy nomination in 2018. She received the Philip Greer Memorial Award from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in 2014.

Colum Lynch

BColum Lynch is an award-winning reporter and Senior Global Reporter for Devex. He covers the intersection of development, diplomacy, and humanitarian relief at the United Nations and beyond. Prior to Devex, Lynch reported on foreign policy and national security for Foreign Policy Magazine and the Washington Post. Lynch was awarded the 2011 National Magazine Award for digital reporting for his blog Turtle Bay. He has also won an award for groundbreaking reporting on the U.N.’s failure to protect civilians in Darfur.

Helen is an award-winning journalist and senior editor at Devex, where she edits coverage on global development in the Americas. Based in Colombia, she previously covered war, politics, financial markets, and general news for Reuters, where she headed the bureau, and for Bloomberg in Argentina, where she witnessed the financial meltdown. She started her career in London as a reporter for Euromoney Publications before moving to Hong Kong to work for a daily newspaper.

Jenny Lei Revelo

Jenny is a senior reporter from Manila whose coverage has taken her from Geneva to Darfur. She does extensive reporting on global health trends and innovations, including policy changes and reforms at the World Health Organization. She is also Devex’s lead writer of practical and lifestyle content for development professionals. In her spare time, Jenny likes immersing in different cultures through traveling and reading local authors, and playing mom to two furbabies.

Tom joined Devex in 2022 as a Communications Specialist. Coming from a background in football journalism, he is a member of the audience growth team that aims to increase Devex's presence on social media and he supports the development of different communication strategies. Outside of work Tom enjoys getting involved with freelance writing, music production and film projects, as well as going on long-distance runs around the world.

Valeria del Castillo

Originally from Mexico City but has lived in different countries such as Canada, France, Switzerland and Scotland. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and a MSc in Cultural Studies from the University of Edinburgh. She focused my graduate studies in understanding visual culture, street art, urbanism and the use of photography as a tool of research. During her free time, she enjoys walking, photographing and exploring cities around the world. She is always looking for street art because it gives her a hint about the city's cultural sphere.

Daniel Sager

Daniel studied computer science in both his native Germany and his adopted home country Spain, specializing in secure IT systems and artificial intelligence. He earned his spurs during several years as a project lead on one of Germany's most successful system monitoring solutions. With a strong focus on reliability, performance, and efficiency, he now leads the engineering of the Devex software system. Furthermore he's spearheading an internal research program exploring new technologies and ideas to drive innovation at Devex.

Adva Saldinger

As an associate editor based in Washington, D.C., Adva leads our coverage of the intersection between business and global development. For the latest on innovative finance, private sector engagement and entrepreneurship follow her reporting. A business journalist with more than 10 years of experience, she worked at several newspapers in the U.S. and lived in both Ghana and South Africa. Adva grew up in California, where she developed a great love of nature and the outdoors.

Andrea Alvizo

Andrea is an Associate on the Devex Talent Solution team. She has experience handling various sourcing and recruitment projects for clients coming from the engineering, IT, and healthcare sectors. She majored in Finance but chose to pursue a career in staffing and recruitment, and is excited to expand her knowledge in the international development industry. She enjoys binge-watching series like Game of Thrones, Dexter, Criminal Minds, Suits, Person of Interest and Fringe. She is a Star Wars fan and an avid collector of Darth Vader and Stormtrooper merchandise (one of her proudest moments involved successfully building a 1329-piece Millennium Falcon Lego in 2 days!).

Heidi Arriola

After working for student publications as a writer and editor, Heidi now brings her A game to the Devex Talent Solutions team, where she’s involved with CV writing assignments and administrative tasks. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Development Management, and she takes pride in working alongside the most competitive recruiters in the global development scene. Outside of work, Heidi loves going for a detour in the world of fiction through reading novels and short stories. Occasionally, she likes going to the live shows of her favorite artists and bands.

Baptiste Brassart

Originally from France, Baptiste joined the IT team in July 2016. His main focus is implementing and improving Devex products' user experience. Baptiste settled down in sunny Barcelona in 2009, after he completed his studies in Italy. Passionate about all things digital, he spends most of his spare time doing sports, such as surfing, skateboarding, beach volleyball and hiking.

Benjamin Cardamone

Ben joined Devex Advertising Strategies in 2016 bringing with him eight years of sales experience and a strong interest in international development. Most recently he served as senior fundraising sales consultant at Network for Good where he worked with nonprofits across the U.S. helping them raise more money for their missions. Now, he works on strategic partnerships connecting universities and key development organizations to Devex members and enjoys the chance to travel through Europe with Barcelona as his home base.

From Argentina, Edgar joined the Devex team in 2018. He's focused on the Front-end side, implementing and improving Devex's digital products. Beyond Devex, he's passionate about technology and loves to be continuously learning new ways of programming and improve his current skills. Edgar also likes to play sports and video-games in his free time.

Leonard Cristobal

Understanding how things work and keeping in touch with people have always been what motivates Leonard. This led him to work as tech support for different companies, such as Microsoft and Apple, before eventually finding his way to Devex, where his roles ranged from member support, quality assurance, and even as reports specialist and is continuously learning the technologies used by the organization. Outside of work, you’ll find him either working on cars, skateboarding, or participating in motorsports.

Janelle is an international studies graduate, prior to joining Devex, she participated in various volunteer activities concerning community development and always had interest for the latest happenings in the global community. She is one of the newest members of the news production team. During her day off, she spends quality time with her family and dogs.

Damien Dillon

Hailing from Ireland, Damien joined the IT team at Devex as a software developer in 2021. Before becoming a programmer, Damien worked as an English language teacher at different schools/academies in both Barcelona and London. After a boot camp at LeWagon Barcelona in late 2017, he worked for nearly three years as a full stack developer for AppDrawn, a London-based software development company. In his spare time he loves spending time with his family, music, football and cycling.

Ed Escalante

Ed is a web developer from Manila and a graduate of the University of the Philippines. Outside of the office, he spends his time mostly still in front of the screen, on twitter and youtube, in order to stay updated on various topics from the most pressing world issues to the latest memes. However, when he's not in front of the keyboard, he tries to keep a creative and active lifestyle by choreographing hiphop dance sequences.

Hayley Mundeva

Born in Nepal with roots in Canada, Australia, and Tanzania, Hayley’s global experiences continue to mold how she sees development. As the Communications Lead for the Office of the President, she crafts sharp, engaging content that makes development stories stick—big ideas, made simple. For the past five years, she’s called Rwanda home. With a Graduate Certificate in Storytelling, a Master’s in Global Health, and a Bachelor’s in Global Resource Systems, she thrives on turning complex ideas into strategies and insights that resonate. When not working, you’ll find her scaling mountains, tuning into podcasts on growth and change, or getting lost in a good book.

Xavier Garces Marti

Xavi joined Devex IT in 2018 as a Full-Stack Developer, later transitioning to Front End Developer, and currently serves as a Product Owner. With over 20 years of cross-industry experience, sociable and reliable, Xavi enjoys collaborating with others and spends his free time playing basketball and trying his hand at the guitar.

Margarita Luisa Garcia

Marga was originally part of the Development Data Team as Data Specialist in 2016, and was offered a place in the Partnerships Team as Digital Partnerships Associate years after, where she oversees website and newsletter advertising. Even with a degree in Consular and Diplomatic Affairs, she always had an interest towards the field of Marketing. She believes this role will further hone her skills, especially now that she can finally connect her International Studies knowledge with her Marketing interests.

Anthony Langat

Anthony Langat is a Kenya-based Devex Contributing Reporter whose work centers on environment, climate change, health, and security. He was part of an International Consortium of Investigative Journalism’s multi-award winning 2015 investigation which unearthed the World Bank’s complacence in the evictions of indigenous people across the world.

Nicole Locsin

Nicole worked for Accenture, one of the largest BPO companies in the Philippines, before becoming a Devexer. She might be the youngest member of the Corporate Accounting Team but she has proven herself to be highly dependable and responsible, ensuring that assistance is provided to both billing and collection tasks. She might seem quiet and shy at first glance, but she’s definitely fun to be with once you get to know her!

Yula Mediavillo

Yula joined Devex in 2009 and is one of the newsroom pioneers. As the Senior Web Content Manager and resident photo wiz, she helps ensure that editorial pages and publications are up to par and visually appealing. When not meeting deadlines, Yula indulges in binge-watching movies and TV shows, reading and honing her pop culture knowledge.

Mariya Chetyrkina

Mariya Chetyrkina serves as the Managing Director of Devex Talent Solutions, where she leads a dynamic global enterprise and a team of accomplished recruitment and search professionals. In this role, she spearheads executive search and other recruitment services tailored for the global development community.

Naomi Mihara

As a video leader, Naomi's job is to engage and inspire the Devex community through visual storytelling. Based in Barcelona, she works with the news and digital campaigns teams to create videos that explore the biggest issues in international development and the organizations and individuals working for change around the world. Before joining Devex, she worked in journalism, documentary, and the INGO sector.

Andrew Nicole Miranda

As part of the Advertising Strategies team, Andrew is in charge of assisting daily client communications and scheduling and assets gathering for all advertising to be posted on Devex.com, social media, and in the daily newsletters. Andrew completed his double-degree in Business Management and History in 2020 and this is his first-ever job.

Aylyn Nuisa

Aylyn, a Devexer based in Manila. She is a Digital Producer who ensures to give world-class virtual events and digital media for our audience. She believes creativity can always be found outside that box.

Ezekiel Orlina

Since joining Devex in 2009, EC’s work has revolved around tracking the funding activities of the world’s top aid donors. He is currently part of the Survey Advisory Services team, where he handles client projects and writes business articles that inform today’s development professionals on key funding trends. An eight-time gold medalist in fencing and a former team captain at his university, EC applies the same level of rigor in his research as he does in his training.

Kirsten Peloton

At Devex, Kirsten is all about the people. A psychology graduate, Kirsten has been working in human resources for almost seven years. Her years of exposure to different facets of HR has been a great asset to her work at Devex. Prior joining Devex, Kirsten was an HR generalist at PSG Global Solutions specializing in employee and labor relations. When she’s not working, you can find Kirsten enjoying motherhood and learning about the balance between work and family.

Honesty Pern

As News Production Manager at Devex, I work on newsletter, website, and editorial production. Prior to joining Devex in 2017, I worked at a local urban development Cambodian NGO, overseeing all communications, program management, and funding. I have previously held positions at community-based NGOs in Australia and Russia and am originally from France.

Raymond Raymundo

Raymond helps build great things for the Devex website. He designs tests and implements reliable automation testing, making sure the key features of the site remains intact. His role as a software quality analyst involves working collaboratively with an agile team, from product managers to developers. His sense of focus and critical thinking makes him a team player, ready to roll with the punches. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games, watching sci-fi & fantasy movies and series just to retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Jenalyn Rivera

As part of Devex's Corporate Accounting team, Jena handles client invoicing, managing of payments, maintaining billing profiles, and accounting reports ensuring all sales are properly billed and reported. With her work experience in diverse industries such as retail, distribution, legal immigration services and even customer relations, she has skills in bookkeeping, taxation, finance and administration. When not at work, she is pampering her daughter with toys and books. You can also find her at the nail spa or massage salon.

Mariane Samson

As part of the News Production team, Mariane helps with content creation, newsletter production and management of Devex's news coverage. She works collaboratively with her newsroom colleagues in packaging and presenting content that’s insightful and engaging to our readers.

Patricia Sarmenta

Having studied the coping mechanisms and food-driven behavior of urban poor women in the slums of Tondo, Manila, Patricia has long been aware of the acute developmental gaps underlying the world's poorest communities. At Devex, she parlays her on-the-ground knowledge into data-driven research and analysis for organizations looking to best create impact for those who need it most. An anthropologist with leanings toward global politics, Patricia has previously worked for human rights NGOs as a researcher, advisor and community organizer.

Krystle Sevilla

As part of the Global Recruitment Services team, Krystle helps leading global development organizations find candidates for their really hard-to-fill positions, and works closely with industry professionals to create stand-out CVs that get them closer to their next job opportunity. A dual citizen of the United States and Philippines, Krystle is interested in what's happening in development in the Asia-Pacific, and has previous experience supporting fundraising and events with a grassroots Filipino NGO, and a global Asia thinktank.

Nicole Tablizo

Nicole ensures high-quality newsletters and content are delivered to Devex's subscribers. She is currently pursuing a master's in comparative literature, focusing on Southeast Asian literature, particularly Indonesian literature. Prior to joining Devex, Nicole worked in the academe as faculty and managing editor for an academic journal.

Princess Tolentino

As an events associate, Princess coordinates with people inside and outside Devex to help produce meaningful virtual events tackling relevant issues in global development. With a bachelor’s in international studies, and pursuing a master’s in Philippine and development studies, she is interested in exploring and improving the ways in which different sectors work together to achieve development goals. Her previous work experiences include project implementation, editing, communication, and branding for government, private, and nonprofit organizations.

David Ainsworth

David Ainsworth is business editor at Devex, where he writes about finance and funding issues for development institutions. He was previously a senior writer and editor for magazines specializing in nonprofits in the U.K. and worked as a policy and communications specialist in the nonprofit sector for a number of years. His team specializes in understanding reports and data and what it teaches us about how development functions.

Lara Valenzuela

Smart, lively and dependable are three words that best describe Lara. True to her personality type (ESFJ), she is sensitive, warm, loyal, has a very strong sense of duty & an excellent skill in connecting with others – making her one of Devex Member Support Team’s best kept assets. Her three year experience as an events executive prepared her to be a frontliner for our members. When not at work, Lara simply loves taking her shih tzu’s out for a walk and collecting lipsticks and nail polishes.

Rachel Van Klaveren

Living in the Netherlands, Kenya, and the Philippines contributed to Rachel’s interest in cultures, societies and people — especially in the developing world. This interest resulted in an MA in cultural anthropology and development sociology. Now, Rachel is part of the Survey Advisory Services team where she is involved in customized research projects. She loves to travel and enjoys outdoor sports such as cycling, swimming, skiing and scuba diving.

Ian Bautista

Ian is a part of the Data Collections Team. He helps to identify and publish different funding activities, opportunities, and programs. With a degree in Political Economy, his fascination is with conflict resolution and post-conflict rehabilitation. In his spare time, you can find him in the gym, playing/streaming video games, or tinkering with his computer.

Genevieve Gregorio

Gen is part of the Data Collection Team. She loves to read on different advocacies and social issues. During her spare time, you can find her watching new and old films on Netflix, singing, and playing the guitar. Gen would also like to work on her public speaking skills and is currently serving as a lector/commentator at her local parish.

Leona Faye Lara

A month after graduation, Leona joined Devex as part of the Data Collection Team. Working for Devex has strengthened her passion and interest in International Development. In her free time, Leona loves to attend concerts and to travel.

Gian Augustine Louis Libanan

Gian graduated from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde with a degree in Consular and Diplomatic Affairs. He participated in the National Model United Nations New York which honed his lobbying and research skills. He also interned at Kalikasan People’s Network for the Environment. Gian joined Devex to put into practice his studies and gain a deeper understanding of global development.

Kristiana Louise Ortega

A graduate in AB Asian Studies, Kristiana is part of the Data Collection Team. She has a growing interest in global affairs. Born and raised in a culture-rich family, she harnessed her passion through international experiences and jobs. She is eager to learn more about today’s events. In her spare time, she returns to photography or doing random sketches.

Ma. Lorenza Magararu

With a degree in International Studies, Ma. Lorenza is a part of the Data Collections Team. Despite being known as shy, she stepped outside of her comfort zone and joined different organizations that helped her develop her interpersonal skills. In her free time, she edits photographs and videos, sings, binge watches her favorite shows, reads, and plays video games.

Jazha Perocillo

Jazha graduated with a degree in International Studies and plans to study further in the field of peace, development, or strategic studies. She spends her free time listening to music, playing the guitar, and going out with her friends. But she really loves to have time for herself, only staying at home, eating, and binge watching shows.

Ysabella Serrano

Working in International Relations has always been Yssa’s biggest aspiration, and she's part of the Data Collection Team at Devex. For fun, she loves to watch films—with a specific love for the Golden Age of Cinema—and tv shows, as well as reading books. She also spends her time volunteering for an international faith-based organization on the weekends.

Alecsondra Si

How countries help to make lives better is what pushed Lexi to pursue a career in development. With a degree in International Studies, she is a part of the Data Collection Team. Her day consists of cross-checking funding information to ensure accuracy of data. When she's not working, she's out supporting her favorite Korean artists, gaming, and playing with makeup.

Mariecruz Victoria Siddayao

Marie has always been passionate about creating her own mark in the development sector. As part of the Data Collection team, she lays out the necessary information and opportunities for the development community. Outside of work, Marie enjoys watching movies, spending time with her family, friends, and her dog, Mowgli, and is always looking for another chance to try something new.

Kim Torres

Kim is from the Philippines and holds a degree in International Studies. She's part of the Data Collection Team. As a Quality Assistant, she provides quality checks. She identifies gaps, problem areas, and recommends improvements. Before Devex, she worked as a Project Assistant in The Climate Reality Project. Outside work, she enjoys traveling and playing video games.

Sheri-kae McLeod

Sheri-kae is the first Devexer based in Kingston, Jamaica. She has a degree in Communications from the University of the West Indies and over seven years of experience as an editor and reporter. Her passion for journalism and global development is what drew her to Devex. She is part of the amazing Copy Editing team at Devex, which help to ensure our readers get accurate and quality content. Her favorite Devex perk is YAY Days because she loves the outdoors. Outside of work, Sheri-kae enjoys cooking, going to the beach, and traveling with friends.

Mauricio Romero

I joined Devex because I saw a chance to get out of my bubble and see what really is happening in the world. I feel passionate about meeting people, and at Devex I not only meet people, but I also work with wonderful colleagues from all over the world!!! And what excites me the most is that my coworkers work hard and contribute with their grain of sand to a better, fairer, and more equal world. And I want to follow suit. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and (big) kids, either cooking together, driving through the countryside, having a glass of wine, talking, or playing some table games. My favorite thing at Devex is how everybody cooperates to obtain a great product. It´s hard work but a lot of fun too. The piece of advice I could give to someone who wants to join Devex is: Be yourself, be authentic, and be passionate about your work and the relationship with your colleagues, for this is a big family where everyone will welcome you and make you feel at home.

Louise Van Wyk

Louise is delighted to join Devex as BD Ops Lead and add value to the Global Development community. She is a problem-solver by nature with a purpose-driven mentality, and enjoys the challenge of removing blockers, driving efficiencies, creating synergies and setting strategic direction to enable the success of the BD team, allowing them to focus on building strong partnerships. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with friends and family, and is at her happiest at the sea.

Angela Mariz Reyes

Angela joined Devex as a Software Quality Analyst in 2022. She helps on designing and automating tests that challenge the quality of the Devex site. Outside work, she enjoys painting, making jewelry and watching films. But most of the time, she is just playing with her cats and taking more photos of them as if there aren't enough already.

Deborah Awili

Deborah, an experienced product owner at Devex, brings over 6 years of diverse product management experience, spanning industries such as Fintech and consulting. Armed with an MBA from Quantic, she combines academic prowess with real-world expertise. Currently based in Nigeria, Deborah not only excels in steering product development but also serves as a mentor, generously sharing her knowledge by coaching aspiring product managers.

Elias Porter

Elias comes from the Pyrenees. Former professional violin and viola player that switched his career to Infrastructure Engineering following the DevOps philosophy. He's passionate about cars, video games, Pilates, all kinds of music and tech tendencies. Always trying to make their teammates' lives easier. Always learning and preparing to be a better professional and human being.

Santiago Arcos

Born in Argentina, but raised in Spain (he got there when he was only 25 days old), joined the Devex team early in 2023. He's a Front-end developer, implementing and improving Devex's digital products. He's also a big fan of the NFL and the Kansas City Chiefs and a passionate actor, combining his acting gigs with his more logical work in Devex.

Elissa Miolene

Elissa Miolene is a reporter at Devex, where she covers US foreign aid. Her award-winning work has been published in The Wall Street Journal, the San Francisco Chronicle, The San Jose Mercury News, and more. Elissa also spent nearly a decade in global development, leading written and visual storytelling for UN and other organizations in East Africa, South Asia and the United States. She holds a master's in journalism from Stanford University, where she received the James Robinson Award for outstanding reporting. She also has a master’s in policy and a bachelor's in journalism and global studies from Lehigh University. Outside of work, Elissa loves to dabble in photo and video — and can often be found traveling, playing guitar, or with her head deep in a book.

Kristin Chapdelaine

A true catalyst, Kristin works at the nexus of ecosystems to bring brands together. With a background in both the public and private sectors, Kristin supports partners in advancing their international development and ESG goals, engaging with thought-provoking stakeholders, and amplifying their efforts. Having spent more than half of her career internationally—in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East—Kristin takes pride in working with partners to ensure seamless cross-cultural and geographic integration.

Sophie Rzschowski

As a Senior Marketing Associate for Special Coverage at Devex, Sophie leads the creation and implementation of strategic marketing campaigns for Devex’s events. Her role involves close collaboration with editorial, design, and social media teams to ensure that each campaign resonates with Devex’s mission and audience. Originally from Madison, Wisconsin, Sophie is now based in Chile, where in her free time she enjoys exploring the country’s natural beauty and finding inspiration in the landscapes around her.

Halee Andrea Alcaraz

Halee Andrea Alcaraz is an Executive Assistant in the Office of the President, reporting to the chief of staff and the Devex’s president and editor-in-chief. After working for an Asia Pacific media intelligence company and freelancing as a Philippines-based journalist for local and international media outlets, she now handles calendar management, logistics, and administrative responsibilities for the Devex OOP. Her free time primarily involves sharing memes, going on walks, going to the gym, traveling, playing with her dog, keeping track of world news, and learning about social psychology.
