As a Marketing and Event Associate for Devex LIVE, Emily creates and implements promotional strategies for digital and in person events. She works closely with the Creative team at Devex to produce exciting and engaging events in order to drive progress on the issues that matter to the global development community. Before joining Devex, she was a student at the University of South Carolina studying Mass Communications and Journalism. With a special interest in campaign strategies for nonprofit organizations, she used her creativity to execute successful fundraisers, events and communication strategies to drive the initiatives of organizations such as the Humane Society of South Carolina, The South Carolina State Museum and AARP South Carolina. Upon graduation, Emily moved to Washington, D.C. to pursue a career utilizing her major and garner new experiences.

In her free time, you can catch her outdoors hiking, enjoying the nearby lake or exploring a new local brewery. While she caught the ‘travel bug’ later than most, she plans to experience as many eye-opening communities and cultures around the world as time allows.
