Event Overview
As world leaders gathered for the World Bank Spring Meetings in Washington, D.C., Royal Philips, in partnership with Devex, hosted a private dinner discussing the role of successful and scalable business models in transforming health systems.
The private dinner event welcomed a select group of 25 senior executives from business, government, international institutions, and civil society for a dynamic discussion aiming to define and agree on concrete actions to produce better, bigger, faster initiatives to achieve universal health coverage by 2030.
The conversation addressed key elements needed to enable these initiatives: appropriate (financial) risk sharing to ensure sustainable transformation, investments in medical technologies and solutions, human resources and capacity constraints, as well as long-term performance-based contracts.
