Anya A’Hearn is the Managing Director of the data visualization consulting company, DataBlick. Blending her background in economics and product design Anya specializes in creating data tools that are as useful as they are beautiful to deliver business insights and empower timely decision-making, and managing high-profile projects for clients such as Visa and the Department of Defense. Volunteering as a “Zen Master” on behalf of the Tableau Foundation, Anya has supported #VisualizeNoMalaria and other non-profit organizations by identifying stackable technology solutions, scoping use cases, building innovative workflows and dashboards, and providing data visualization training.

Amie Batson

Executive Director, Women Leaders in Global Health Initiative, Stanford University

Amie Batson is the Executive Director of WomenLift Health at Stanford University’s Center for Global Health Innovation. She has a 25-year career in global health that includes positions with the World Health Organization, UNICEF, the World Bank, the US Agency for International Development (USAID), and PATH where she most recently served as Chief Strategy Officer and VP of Applied Analytics and Learning. Throughout her career in global health, Batson has been a leader in innovation and partnership. She holds a BA in economics at the University of Virginia and a MBA from the Yale University School of Management.

Catherine Cheney

Senior Reporter, Devex

Catherine Cheney is a Senior Reporter for Devex. She covers the West Coast of the U.S., focusing on the role of technology and innovation in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. And she frequently represents Devex as a speaker and moderator. Prior to joining Devex, Catherine earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Yale University, worked as a web producer for POLITICO and reporter for World Politics Review, and helped to launch NationSwell. Catherine has reported from all over the world, and freelanced for outlets including the Atlantic and the Washington Post. Dr. Rajesh Dash

Co-Founder, HealthPals

Dr. Dash is an Associate Professor and preventative cardiologist at Stanford Medical School. In 2014, Dr. Dash launched the nation’s first cardiology clinic dedicated to detecting and preventing heart disease in South Asians (SSATHI:www.stanfordhealthcare.org/ssathi). Dr.Dash has innovated in the preventive care delivery space, launching a combined medical and lifestyle telemedicine program, CardioClick, that has virtualized follow-up care and achieved dramatic improvements in patient engagement, treatment plan adherence, and subsequent clinical outcomes. In 2015, Dr. Dash founded HealthPals (www.healthpals.ai), a Precision Population Health AI company that produces evidence-based, actionable insights for health systems, life science companies, and payers. Dr. Joe DeRisi

Co-President, Chan Zuckerberg Biohub

Dr. Joseph DeRisi is infusing biomedical research with an inventor’s flair. He led the development of a new diagnostic tool called the Virochip, a computer chip that contains DNA from every virus ever discovered that can quickly scan blood or spinal fluid for evidence of infection. A self-described “biologist who is also a serious computer nerd,” his lab at University of California, San Francisco, is combining an innovative software tool with new genome sequencing technology to develop a prototype diagnostic test that could reveal any infectious disease with near certainty.

Dr. Queen Dube

Co-Principal Investigator, NEST360° & Consultant Pediatrician, Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital, Blantyre Malawi

Dr. Queen Dube is a pediatrician at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) the largest tertiary unit in her home country of Malawi. She trained for medical degree in Britain and is one of only eight pediatricians in Malawi’s government health system. In addition to training medical students at the University of Malawi, Dube conducts research on pediatric HIV, neurodevelopment, and neonatal infections. She currently serves as the principal investigator on a neonatal sepsis study, co-principal investigator on a neonatal meningitis clinical trial and co-investigator on a Group B vaccine trial. Dube was one of the physician partners at QECH who oversaw the clinical aspects of the Rice 360° Pumani CPAP clinical study funded by the Saving Lives at Birth seed grant in July 2011. She has collaborated with Rice University for the past several years to identify challenges in neonatal care, develop new technology solutions – such as NEST360°- and implement these solutions at QECH.

Dr. Florence Duperval-Guillaume

Haiti Country Director, Global Health Supply Chain - Procurement & Supply Management Project, Chemonics

Dr. Florence Guillaume is a licensed pediatrician with 30 years of public health experience in Haiti. Before joining the Global Health Supply Chain – Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project, she served as Haiti’s health minister for five years, providing strategic support to colleagues at the central and departmental levels, while also giving technical guidance to USAID for health programming in-country. As health minister, Dr. Guillaume advocated for more effective health solutions following the January 2010 earthquake. Prior to serving as Haiti’s health minister, she provided both technical and project management guidance as a deputy chief of party for Management Sciences for Health (MSH) in Haiti. Dr. Guillaume holds a M.D. from the State University of Haiti’s Faculty of Medicine.

Martin Edlund

CEO, Malaria No More

Martin Edlund is a founding member and Chief Executive Officer of Malaria No More, a globally recognized impact organization with the visionary mission to end the world’s oldest, deadliest disease in our lifetimes. During his tenure at Malaria No More, he has led strategies to mobilize billions of dollars in global resources and innovations from leading media, mobile, technology, and medical companies. He is passionate about applying cutting-edge developments in data science, innovative finance, technology, and genetics to ending an ancient killer disease. Edlund is a frequent contributor to thought-leader media coverage including CNN, The Times of India, The Guardian, The Telegraph, Fox News, Devex, Thrive, and other outlets. As the Lead and Executive Director, Dr. Etiebet is responsible for successfully implementing a robust set of innovative maternal health programs and high-impact partnerships that integrate the private sector’s invention and expertise to design, deploy and scale solutions that empower women, equip health providers and strengthen health systems.

Dr. Barry Finette

Co-Founder & CEO, THINKMD

Barry Finette MD. Ph.D, DTM&H., is a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Vermont College of Medicine, and an Attending and Teaching physician in the Pediatric Inpatient, Emergence Medicine and Critical Care Division at Vermont Children’s Hospital at the University of Vermont Medical Center. He has 30 years of experience as a Pediatrician in the areas of emergency; critical and acute care medicine and as a basic, clinical and translational research scientist. He is also the Founder and President of THINKMD, Inc., a Vermont based social impact benefit corporation that focuses on developing next generation healthcare solutions. THINKMD’s initial work is focusing on the development of digital mHealth clinical assessment and data analytics platforms for a multitude of end-users to globally expand sustainable quality healthcare capacity and access to everyone, everywhere, in particular where the humanitarian needs are greatest. THINKMDs technology is currently implemented in over 10 countries.

Dr. Aparna Hegde

Founder & Managing Trustee, ARMMAN

Dr. Aparna Hegde holds MD (Mumbai University), DNB, FCPS, DGO degrees in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a MS degree in biological sciences from Stanford University. She was awarded the IUGA International Fellowship in Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery which she completed in Cleveland Clinic Florida. She is a member of the Editorial Board of International Urogynecology Journal and the International Urogynecology Committee on prolapse. She is an internationally recognized pioneer in the field of 2D/3D ultrasound of the pelvic floor. She has won several research awards including best paper award at the 2013 American Urogynecology Society annual meeting and has 75 publications/abstracts.

Dr. Isaac Holeman

Co-Founder & Chief Research Officer, Medic Mobile

Isaac Holeman is a Clinical Assistant Professor whose research concerns digital health, human-centered design, and global health equity. Nearly a decade ago he co-founded a non-profit organization called Medic Mobile to build open source software for health workers in hard to reach communities. Today, Medic Mobile serves as technical steward of the Community Health Toolkit open source project, and supports more than 25,000 health workers who provide care for over 12 million people in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. With support from a Gates Cambridge Scholarship, Isaac completed PhD studies focused on global health and human-centered design, and he now leads Medic Mobile's research efforts. These roles at UW and Medic Mobile enable Isaac to continue his exploration of human-centered design, while also engaging a wider research network whose work addresses themes of digital health and health equity, open source/open science, community health, implementation research, human-centered data science, and precision global health. While based in Seattle, Isaac continues to conduct fieldwork and contribute to Medic’s design practice and implementation partnerships around the world.

Brittany Hume Charm

Head of Global Partnerships, Zipline

Brittany is Head of Global Partnerships at Zipline. Zipline's mission is to provide every human on Earth with instant access to vital medical supplies. To achieve this, Zipline has built the world’s fastest and most reliable delivery drone and completes routine and emergency last-mile deliveries of blood, vaccines, and other medical products to hospitals and health facilities every day from its distribution centers. In this role, Brittany creates opportunities for governments, foundations, corporations, and development agencies to collaborate to achieve shared goals of improved health access and quality. Prior to Zipline, Brittany worked at the intersection of business, global health, and entrepreneurship in roles at the Skoll Foundation, the Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation, Johnson & Johnson, and McKinsey & Company.

Michael Igoe

Senior Reporter, Devex

Michael Igoe is a Senior Reporter with Devex, based in Washington, D.C. He covers U.S. foreign aid, global health, climate change, and development finance. Prior to joining Devex, Michael researched water management and climate change adaptation in post-Soviet Central Asia, where he also wrote for EurasiaNet. Michael earned his bachelor's degree from Bowdoin College, where he majored in Russian, and his master’s degree from the University of Montana, where he studied international conservation and development.

Dr. Jayasree K. Iyer

Executive Director, Access to Medicine Foundation

As Executive Director, Dr Jayasree K. Iyer leads the strategic direction and stakeholder engagement of the Access to Medicine Foundation. She directs the research programmes for the Antimicrobial Resistance Benchmark, the Access to Medicine Index, the Access to Vaccines Index and specific studies into priority health topics, such as the ”Improving access to cancer care” report. Jayasree holds various postgraduate degrees (Masters and PhD) from Singapore and the John Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health. She has written many technical and research reports, book chapters and reviews, along with strategy papers for medicines for developing countries and solutions for neglected tropical diseases. Before joining the Foundation, Jayasree spent four years managing a portfolio of more than 25 public private partnerships between the Dutch government and the pharmaceutical industry, totalling a research budget of €150 million. These partnerships addressed cancer, immunology and neglected diseases. She has worked for various non-government organisations, academic institutions and was part of the founding team of a diagnostic service company in the US.

Kang-Xing "KX" Jin

Head of Health, Facebook

Kang-Xing "KX" Jin is Head of Health at Facebook. His team works on products to amplify positive Social Impact related to Health, as well as efforts to minimize the harms that can arise out of health-related product usage. He’s worked at Facebook for over 13 years. From 2012-18, he held various roles in FB App, including the VP responsible for Facebook Groups and Workplace. From 2007-12 he led engineering for Facebook Ads. He joined Facebook in 2006 as an engineer on the News Feed team, two weeks before that product launched. He graduated summa cum laude from Harvard with a degree in Computer Science.

Dr. Tracy Johnson

Senior Program Officer, User Experience & Innovation, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

Tracy is an experienced design anthropologist, who is passionate about applying a design anthropological perspective to getting to the 'why' behind people’s behavior and using human-centered design to develop and launch solutions that lead to better uptake and more sustained behavior change in global health and development. At the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation she works on using multidisciplinary approaches to generating deep insights about people, markets and systems. In this role she has been instrumental in shaping the agenda for applying human-centered design on a global scale, helped design organizations adapt their practices to the social impact space, and contributed to the education of the next generation of global social impact designers.

Priti Krishtel

Co-Executive Director & Co-Founder, I-MAK

Priti Krishtel is Co-Executive Director and Co-Founder of I-MAK, an organization increasing access to affordable lifesaving medicines by restoring integrity to the patent system. Since 2003, Priti has focused on bridging the global evidence gap between patents and drug costs. Since co-founding I-MAK in 2006, the group has enabled $2 billion in savings for health systems, increasing access to medicines for millions of people worldwide. Her work has been featured widely in the press, including in The New York Times, Bloomberg, and the Wall Street Journal, and she is a frequent speaker at international events, including TEDWomen 2019. She is currently working to broaden the base of support to reimagine the patent system to better serve the public.

Raj Kumar

President and Editor-in-Chief, Devex

Raj Kumar is the founding President & Editor-in-Chief of Devex, the media platform for the global development community. A social enterprise dedicated to ensuring global development efforts do more good for more people, Devex was born in 2000 when Raj was a graduate student at the Harvard Kennedy School. Today, there are 100+ Devexers around the world serving a global audience of more than one million aid workers and development professionals. Beginning as a kid in Kerala, India, Raj has witnessed firsthand determined and courageous development work in over 50 countries – it’s what drives the Devex mission to “Do Good. Do It Well.” He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a media leader and former humanitarian council chair for the World Economic Forum, and has interviewed on-camera and on- stage hundreds of global luminaries on the most important challenges of our time. Raj is the author of the book “The Business of Changing the World,” a go-to primer on the ideas, people, and technology disrupting the aid industry.

Anne LaFond

Director, JSI Center for Health Information, Monitoring and Evaluation

Anne K. LaFond MSc is the Director of the JSI Center for Health Information, Monitoring and Evaluation (CHIME) and Senior Evaluation Advisor at John Snow, Inc. (JSI). She has engaged with global health research, monitoring and evaluation and program design for 30 years to maximize the use of evidence and learning in addressing health challenges for people in low income settings. She served as the Senior Advisor for Research, Monitoring and Evaluation in the Innovations for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health Initiative, which focused on evaluation of social and behavior change innovations in Ghana, Kenya and Sierra Leone. In this context, she also led comparative case study research on the role of human centered design (HCD) in MNCH programming, developing the first influence pathway analysis of HCD. Anne is currently serving on the Board of Advisors for USAID and BMGF’s Design for Health community of practice, collaborating on the development of the MeasureD Manual to guide investment in HCD and HCD measurement, and teaching M&E approaches to designers at the School for Visual Art’s MFA in Design for Social Innovation. She specializes in strategic planning and health program design, including theory of change development, and facilitating data use for improving health system performance. She is the author of Sustaining Primary Health Care, a five-country study on local and international health sector investment and its effect on health system sustainability

Dr. Patrice Matchaba

Group Head of Global Health & Corporate Responsibility, Novartis

Patrice Matchaba, M.D., has been Group Head of Global Health & Corporate Responsibility for Novartis since October 2017. Dr. Matchaba most recently served as Global Head of the Cardio-Metabolic development unit at Novartis, where he led the global clinical development of the cardio-metabolic portfolio. He joined Novartis South Africa in 2000 as the Country Pharma Organization Chief Scientific Officer. Since moving to Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation in the United States in 2002, he has held several roles of increasing responsibility, such as Therapeutic Area Head for Immunology and Infectious Diseases; Global Head of Drug Safety and Epidemiology; and Global Head of the Integrated Development Functions and Regions, which include Global Clinical Operations, Global Clinical Submissions, Integrated Information Sciences, Development Informatics, Development Diversity and Inclusion, and all Medical Country Pharma Organization regions. Dr. Matchaba completed his medical training at the University of Zimbabwe, and is a fellow of the College of Obstetrics and Gynecology South Africa. In addition, he is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Program for Management Development.

Noah Perin

CEO & Co-Founder, VIA Global Health

Noah most recently served as a Commercialization Officer at PATH, a prominent international global health NGO. There he worked with small and midsize health tech manufacturers to enter emerging and developing county markets, taking three products to early commercialization in Africa. He saw firsthand the growing opportunity and economic trends that make these markets both costly to enter yet full of untapped potential. Prior to PATH, Noah was a Product Manager at Microsoft in the Online Services Group, and a drug discovery researcher at two biotech startups.

Ben Plumley

Dr. Nithya Ramanathan

CEO & Co-founder, Nexleaf Analytics

Nithya Ramanathan is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Nexleaf Analytics, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving human life and protecting our planet by designing sensor technologies, generating data analytics, and advocating for data-driven solutions to global challenges. Nexleaf focuses on serving low-income countries by protecting temperature-sensitive vaccines for newborns, reducing air pollution through incentivizing adoption of cleaner cooking practices, and increasing the livelihood of smallholder farmers by protecting produce from spoilage. With Project Surya partners, Nithya leads StoveTrace, an innovative approach to monitoring improved cookstoves and using cutting-edge climate science to increase clean energy access in the developing world. Nexleaf’s immunization platform, ColdTrace, developed with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Google.org, Gavi, Ministries of Health and NGO partners, currently protects the vaccine supply for over 12 million babies born each year.

Dr. Naveen Rao

Senior Vice President, Health, The Rockefeller Foundation

Dr. Naveen Rao is Senior Vice President of the Health Initiative at The Rockefeller Foundation. He leads a team focused on advancing Precision Public Health, empowering community health workers with actionable insights from data and analytic tools to accelerate progress on health outcomes in their communities. For decades, Dr. Rao has led efforts to equip health care providers with the skills, tools, and technologies necessary for success. He joins the Foundation after 25 years with Merck & Co., Inc., where he led Merck for Mothers, a 10-year, $500 million initiative to reduce maternal mortality globally and worked as Head of Medical Affairs for Merck’s Asia-Pacific region and Managing Director of Merck’s subsidiary in India. Dr. Rao is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, an American College of Physicians Fellow, and sits on the Medic Mobile Board of Directors. He represents The Rockefeller Foundation on Global Fund ATM's Private Foundation constituency.

Dr. Jaspal S. Sandhu

Managing Partner & Co-Founder, Gobee Group

Jaspal is a Managing Partner of the Gobee Group, a social innovation consultancy that he co-founded 10 years ago. At Gobee, he leads human-centered design efforts to drive innovation for the health of communities around the world. Current Gobee initiatives are optimizing decision-making in national immunization systems, creating new models for domestic violence prevention in California, and improving access to HIV testing and treatment for key populations globally. He is also a Professor of Practice in Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health at the University of California, Berkeley School of Public Health. Since 2016, he has served as the faculty lead for the Fung Fellowship for Wellness & Technology Innovations at Berkeley, an interdisciplinary undergraduate training program exploring the intersection of digital health, human-centered design, and health equity. For eight years prior to the Fung Fellowship he taught Eat.Think.Design., the first human-centered design course in a school of public health nationally.

Souleymane Sawadogo

General Manager, Global Health, Parsyl

Souleymane Sawadogo is General Manager of Global Health for Parsyl, a supply chain data platform founded with the mission to improve lives and save money by providing a better way to ensure the integrity of sensitive goods as they are shipped around the globe. Using a combination of proprietary wireless sensing devices and data analytics, Parsyl provides a solution that allows global health supply chain partners to answer critical questions about what happened to vaccines during shipment and storage, the causes and locations of any vaccine degradation, and what improvements can be made. In partnership with Gavi, Parsyl is currently working in Senegal and Uganda to monitor cold chain conditions and ensure countries are using the latest technology to keep vaccines effective. Souleymane is a public health laboratory specialist, expert in vaccine quality assurance, and a former leader of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Africa operations where he established, managed, and monitored laboratory services and networks across the continent. In his more than 20 years of experience, he has provided high-impact technical assistance to the World Health Organization, the Global Fund, the World Bank, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Africa Society for Laboratory Medicine. Souleymane has published extensively in leading scientific journals and contributes regularly to international guideline development for diagnostics and laboratory systems.

Sylvana Q. Sinha

Founder, Managing Director & CEO, Praava Health

Ms. Sinha is the Founder and CEO of Praava Health in Bangladesh. Praava Health is a network of family health centers where patients come first. Praava is building a better patient experience enabled by technology, offering consultations with family doctors and a full range of diagnostics services including lab and imaging. Ms. Sinha built this company from scratch, largely based on inspiration derived from conversations with public health professionals, entrepreneurs, and investors in India and Asia and beyond, learning from what had worked in other markets and what made sense for Bangladesh at this moment of its economic development.

Dr. Peter Small

Senior Director, Global Health Technologies Portfolio, Global Good at Intellectual Ventures

Dr. Peter Small has a deep understanding of the potential for technology to drastically improve health care delivery in low- and middle-income countries, coming to Global Good from a Rockefeller Foundation Fellowship focused on the topic. Peter was a chief medical resident at the University of California, San Francisco at the dawn of the HIV epidemic, and subsequently moved to Stanford University where he completed an Infectious Disease fellowship and spent approximately a decade in Stanford’s Infectious Disease Division. During these years, he published pioneering molecular epidemiological papers that helped shape the public health response to the resurgence of tuberculosis (TB) and seminal papers on mycobacterial genomics. In 2002, Peter was one of the first employees of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation where he developed the Foundation’s TB strategy, built its core partnerships and country programs, hired and managed the Foundation’s TB team, and oversaw a large portfolio of vaccine, drug, and diagnostic product development activities. In 2011, he relocated his family to New Delhi, where he established the Foundation’s TB program in India. In 2015, Peter joined Stony Brook University as the Founding Director of the University-wide Global Health Institute focused on the use of technology to deliver health care in remote Madagascar and Nepal.

James Snowden

Senior Research Analyst, GiveWell

James is a Senior Research Analyst at GiveWell, an organization that does research to identify cost-effective giving opportunities for donors. He previously worked as a researcher at Giving What We Can, a consultant to the World Health Organization, and as a strategy consultant in the private and public sectors. James's current research is focused on identifying giving opportunities that assist governments with the design and implementation of public health regulation in low- and lower-middle countries.

Dr. Annie Theriault

Chief Investment Officer, Grand Challenges Canada

Annie is the Chief Investment Officer of Grand Challenges Canada and the Managing Director of the EWEC Innovation Marketplace, an initiative of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Grand Challenges Canada, NORAD, and USAID. Annie is also the Managing Partner of Cross-Border Impact Ventures, a new impact investment firm partnered with Grand Challenges Canada to launch a health technology venture capital fund focused on women’s, children’s and adolescents’ health investing with a gender lens. She is a Founding Member of The Big Push, an accelerator for women-led tech companies, and an advisor to Silver Maple Ventures, a Toronto-Based fintech company offering a full suite of solutions for private placements in early and growth stage companies. Prior to these roles, Annie spent most of her career investing in private companies as a venture capitalist and lender across multiple sectors and stages, including several impact investments. Annie obtained her PhD in Management from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, is a CFA Charterholder and holds the ICD.D designation.

Lauren Wall

Senior Program Officer, PATH

Lauren Wall is an accomplished manager of complex multimillion-dollar global health programs and a thought leader for the alignment and coordination of digital health investments. She has directed the technical and operational implementation of programs spanning 16 countries with US government, private family foundation, multi-lateral, and private sector funding. She sits in PATH’s Center of Digital and Data Excellence, where she leads the integration of digital and data across PATH’s global portfolio through peer learning and partnership opportunities. She also leads the Secretariat of the Health Data Collaborative’s Digital Health & Interoperability Working Group, made up of over 300 digital health experts from 100+ organizations, across 12 countries. Lauren received her MPH in Maternal and Child Health from the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a US Department of Education Foreign Language and Area Studies fellow in Brazilian Portuguese. She is a native speaker of English, fluent in Spanish, proficient in Portuguese, and is skilled qualitative researcher in all 3 languages.

Dr. Prashant Yadav

Visiting Fellow, Center for Global Development & Affiliate Professor of Technology and Operations Management, INSEAD

Prashant Yadav is a Visiting Fellow at the Center for Global Development and Affiliate Professor of Technology and Operations Management at INSEAD. Prashant is a globally recognized scholar in the area of healthcare supply chains. He is the author of over 50 peer reviewed scientific publications and his work has been featured in prominent print and broadcast media including The Economist, The Financial Times, Nature, and BBC. Prashant workes closely with country governments, global agencies, and private sector organizations in improving health care supply chains. Yadav’s policy advisory roles have included: Strategy Leader-Supply Chain at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Chair of the Market Dynamics Advisory Group of the Global Fund, Co-chair of Procurement & Supply Chain Management at the Roll Back Malaria Partnership, Commissioner on the Lancet Commission on Essential Medicines. Yadav has been invited for expert testimony on issues related to medicine supply chains in the US Congress and legislative bodies in other countries. Yadav also serves on the boards and advisory boards of social enterprises and a venture fund. In his previous roles Yadav has worked as Strategy Leader-Supply Chain at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation; Vice President of Healthcare at the William Davidson Institute and Faculty at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan; Professor of Supply Chain Management at the MIT-Zaragoza International Logistics Program and Research Affiliate at the MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics.

Steven Yecies

Founder & Managing Partner, New Dimensions Health Fund

Steven Yecies is the Founder and Managing Partner of New Dimensions Health Fund which is making investments of $100-$500 million in HCIT and services companies on a global basis and pioneering government led venture development for healthcare. Prior to starting his fund, Mr. Yecies was a Venture Partner at OrbiMed ($15 billion fund investing exclusively in healthcare with offices in Shanghai, Mumbai, Herzila, New York and San Francisco) where he started and managed OrbiMed’s global private investments in HCIT and services companies. Earlier in his career, Mr. Yecies founded and ran the global health and wellness business at Scient (NASDAQ: SCNT) where he built over 40 of the first generation e-health businesses and capabilities for national governments and large corporate entities. He was either the founder or part of the leadership team of six other HCIT start-ups. He was extensive global experience working in both developed and developing countries and has worked with a number of national governments and health ministries designing, building and operating various technology enabled delivery systems or health care information technology capabilities. He received an A.B. in Government from Dartmouth College and holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a J.D. from The U.C. Berkeley School of Law.
