While the world has seen considerable improvement in cancer survival rates — largely driven by advances in medical research, screening programs, and availability of treatments — progress has been uneven, and large groups of patients continue to face inequities in cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, according to The Lancet.
This event, hosted by Devex in partnership with MSD and the American Cancer Society, will explore what’s needed to advance equitable and high-quality cancer care for all, as well as current obstacles to accessing cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Discussions will draw on lessons learned from oncology experts and advocates across the U.S., as well as from health care providers and patients in order to create a better understanding of how concerted efforts across all stakeholder groups can deliver quality care to cancer patients everywhere.
