Insight to Impact is designed for policy- and decision-makers at national, regional, and global levels working in food, land, and water systems, with a particular focus on experts from low- and middle- income countries. The insights empower stakeholders to address interconnected challenges across CGIAR's five Impact Areas: Climate Adaptation & Mitigation; Environmental Health & Biodiversity; Nutrition, Health & Food Security; Poverty Reduction, Livelihoods & Jobs; and Gender Equality, Youth & Social Inclusion.

Decision-makers face unprecedented, complex, and interconnected challenges in global food, land, and water systems. From food and nutrition security to gender equity and biodiversity loss, these challenges threaten these systems in a time of climate crisis.

Science shows us there are solutions, but these are often siloed — failing to reach people making decisions around communities, national, and global processes; people who urgently need access to evidence-based recommendations.

Using data and case studies from CGIAR’s Insight to Impact report, decision-makers will have the tools and guidance needed to formulate, develop, and negotiate evidence-based policies and investments.

Scientific evidence provides clear pathways for policy development and implementation and innovation adoption — with measurable outcomes. Drawing on tangible data allows decision-makers to quantify the economic, social, and environmental impacts of different approaches and offers contextually relevant solutions that take into account local conditions and communities.

To enable decision-makers to engage more users and better understand the implications of scientific solutions, Insight to Impact suggests complementary tools and resources for each Impact Area, from technical guidelines and how-to guides to implementation frameworks, key expert contacts, and more.
