As the global health community gathers for the 79th World Health Assembly, we find ourselves at a moment of unprecedented opportunity. The goal of ending preventable maternal deaths is no longer just an aspiration—it is within our reach. Through a powerful combination of clinical breakthroughs, digital innovation, and collaboration, we are moving beyond the era of reactive crisis management toward a future of proactive, resilient care.
Hosted by Devex in partnership with MSD for Mothers, this session will explore topline findings from the 2026 Progress Report on ending preventable maternal, newborn and child mortality as reported by Every Woman Every Newborn Everywhere (EWENE) and Child Survival Action (CSA).
The session will also share proposed EWENE and CSA targets and include a discussion with Member States to share best practices and lessons learned.
